Boston Baked Beans

4 cup dry navy beans1 large Onion, large dice 8 oz Bacon, chopped 2/3 cup Molasses 1/4 cup Sugar 2 tsp Mustard Powder2 tsp Salt 1/2 tsp Pepper, black 6 cup Water
Rinse beans, cover with water, and soak overnight. Drain, rinse, and cover with water. Bring to a gentle boil and simmer 10 min. Drain and rinse again. Put onion and half the bacon in a 4-5 qt oven-proof casserole. Add beans and top with remaining bacon. Mix molasses, sugar, mustard, salt, & pepper; pour over beans. Add water to cover. Cover and bake at 300°F for 6 hour.
