Ingredients
4 baking apples1/4 cup brown sugar4 teaspoons margarine1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
Remove core from apples and place upright in baking dish, placing a tablespoon brown sugar, a teaspoon of margarine and 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon in the center of each apple. Pour water intobaking dish to 1/4 inch depth. Bake at 375 for 30-40 minutes or until tender.

    I've made this twice now and my whole family loves it! My 6-year old ate half the batch in one sitting! I also added some nutmeg, cloves, ginger and a tsp.of vanilla after slicing the apples and using a covered dish (keeps all the moisture in.) Fantastic with Honey Crisp or Red Delicious apples! - 1/2/09
