Simple Tomato Soup

Ingredients
2 tbsp Butter, unsalted 1 large Onions, raw 1 large (7-1/4" to 8-1/2" long) Carrots, raw 2 can Canned Tomatoes 3 cup Chicken stock, home-prepared
Directions
Place butter in saucepan. Add chopped onion, carrot, black pepper, and salt. Cook 5 minutes on medium. Add tomatoes and .5 tsp dried thyme, cook about 10 minutes. Add two cups of stock. Adjust seasoning and stock as necessary.
