Clam Chowder

Ingredients
4 slices bacon , diced1 1/2 c water1 1/2 tsp salt3 tbs butter1 1/2 c chopped onion4 c potatoes, peeled and diced3 c half-n-half4 10oz can minced clams
Directions
In large pot cook bacon until almost crisp; add onions, cook 5 minutes. Stir in waterand potatoes, season with salt. Bring to boil, cook uncovered 15 minutes or until tender.
Add half-n-half and butter. Drain Clams, save liquid. Stir in clams and half of liquid. Cook 5 minutes. Do not boil.
Mix cornstarch in water until dissolved, stir into soup.
