1 box cake mix (any flavor that you preferr)1 12 oz. diet soda of your choicefrosting of your choice or light whipped topping
Directions
Mix 12 ounces of diet soda in a large mixing bowl with cake mix, blend well with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, pour into a greased and floured cake pan or lined muffin cups. Bake as directed on the box.

Let cool and top with your favorite frosting or light whipped topping.

These are very moist and this is a great alternative for people who are allergic to dairy and eggs.

Tip: If using a light mix (ie. lemon, white, yellow) use a light soada like Sprite, vernors, etc.. If using a dark mix like chocolate use a cola or get creative and use a diet raspberry soda or even diet Faygo chocolate soda.

Makes a great cake! I made it for my sister's shower, and no one could tell any difference. Ok...I haven't tried this (I will eventaully), but I was wondering if you could use a made from scratch dry mix and then add the soda? Let me know if you try it, please! :oD - 8/29/07

It's very good and very easy. It's much more dense than regular cake, though! - 3/15/07
