Ingredients
Directions
6 cup Flour, white 2 cup Mashed Potatoes (leftovers work great)3 tsp Salt .25 ounce Yeast, bakers 5 serving Green Onion (fresh-1 stalk) 3.5 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
Mix flour, salt, yeast, chopped green onion and mashed potato in very large bowl.
Pour over 3.5 cups hot tap water, mix with fork until dough is all wet, do not over mix, this should look shaggy and wet, not like typical bread dough.
Cover and let sit in warm location minimum 6 hours, but up to 18.
Scrap dough out of bowl onto floured surface. Cut in half. Shape each half roughly to fit pans (I use loaf tins). Allow to rise in pans for about 2 hours.
Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for about 1 to 1 1/4 hours until nicely browned and hollow sounding.
Serving Size: Makes 2 loaves of 12 slices each
