2.0 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour1.0 cup Granulated Sugar1.0 cup (not packed) Raisins0.25 cup Canola Oil0.5 tsp Cinnamon, ground0.5 tsp Baking Soda1.0 tsp Vanilla Extract0.5 tsp Salt1.25 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap0.5 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
Boil raisins in 1.25 cups of water for 15 minutes. Remove from heat.
Add vegetable oil and cold water to the raisins.
Mix sugar, flour, spices, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
Add the raisin mixture, and stir till just mixed.
Pour into a greased and floured bread pan, and bake for one hour in a preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven. It is done if a toothpick comes out clean.
