Ingredients
4 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour 2 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap 1 tbsp Butter, salted 2 tsp Salt 2 tsp Granulated Sugar 2 tsp Fleischmann's Yeast (instant dry yeast) (by NURSIEBOOP)
Directions
Mix dry ingredients, and whisk together. Pour 2 c lukewarm water over and stir until it is a cohesive, sticky paste like dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size. With a fork, pull the dough down from the sides, and over on top of itself repeatedly to "punch it down". Pick up with two forks and plop unceremoniously into a generously buttered bread pan. Spread in pan as evenly as possible, but ain't no thang, this is homemade bread, folks. Allow to rise again for another 1/2 hour, or until risen just over the top of the pan. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 15 minutes, reduce the temp to 375 and bake for another 15 minutes. The bread should sound hollow when thumped on top, and generously buttered pans will allow the loaf to fall right out. De-pan, and allow to cool on a wire rack or trivet.
