Whole Wheat Oatmeal Bread

Ingredients
1 1/4 c. water (70 to 80 degrees)2 T. honey2 T butter or margarine, softened1 1/4 t. salt2 T nonfat dry milk powder1 3/4 c. bread flour1 c. whole wheat flour1/3 c. oats1 t. fast acting yeast
Directions
Place ingredients in bread machine pan in order given. Select whole wheat setting.

Yield: 1 loaf (1 1/2 pounds)

    Tried this bread today. Used regular flour because I had no bread flour in the house. The batter was too moist, so I added some gluten flour for consistency and it is a beautiful bread. I cut the salt in half which I usually do in most or all recipes. Will make again. - 7/8/11

    Excellent! I made this in my Cuisinart convection breadmaker-setting 3 (whole wheat)-light crust-medium loaf (1.5 lb). I didn't add the milk powder, I used all-purpose flour and added 1 tsp of lemon juice (as recommended on my whole wheat flour package). Light texture - very nice! - 1/4/10
