1 stick Butter, salted 3 cup Quaker Oats Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats 6 cup Milk, 2%, with added nonfat milk solids, without added vit A
Melt 1 stick of butter in a saucepan.
Add 3 cups of dry oats, and toss in butter to coat the oats. Cook until the oats are toasted.
Remove 1 cup of toasted oats from the pan. Set aside.
Add 6 cups of milk, stir, and cover.
Refrigerate overnight.
Remove the cover and stir the oatmeal. Heat on medium high until the liquid just begins to bubble.
Turn heat down to low and whisk. Continue until the oatmeal thickens to the desired consistency.
Serving Size: makes 10 servings
