I also added 2 packet's of splenda brown sugar, 1/4 cup of oats, 1tsp of low fat margerine mixed these ingredients till crumbly and sprinkled on the top of the apple. Almost like a apple crunch. - 4/30/09

I added a tablespoon of oatmeal, used Truvia and a pinch of brown sugar. Wow. I'll make this again. - 8/17/09

Apple skin was a little tough so I will probably peel before cooking the next time; otherwise it was very good! - 10/4/09

I've been making this for ages, but I first put a Tbsp of raisins and a couple Tbsp. of water in the bowl and microwave that for 1 min. to soften the raisins, then I add the apple slices, cinnamon and splenda. I don't use butter. Microwave that for 2 min., top with cool whip. - 9/12/10

Wow! It tastes just like my great-grandma's "fried apples"- only with much less butter! I used real sugar (2 tsp.) and "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" spray, and this is just perfect! Thanks for a "sweet" idea! - 7/17/09

Like many others, I added about 1 T. oatmeal, some Brown Sugar Twin, cinnamon and about 1 t. butter to make a topping. I'd cut the water to 1.5T. Next time, I'll increase the oatmeal topping. I'm always low on Carbs, an Atkins leftover! - 4/7/10

This recipe is extremely easy and very yummy! I like apples but for some reason can't eat them raw. I added 2 Tbsp of evaporated milk and applie pie spice but nuked the apples slices for 3 1/2 mins. This is just as good as real apple pie IMO. I will definitely make this again! Thanks!! - 7/22/09

Uh...YUM! I am having it right now with a huge scoop of cottage cheese and a TBSP of almond butter, and it is an awesome breakfast. I have no doubt the apple would be delicious by itself though. It's really good, but it gets an incredible for being so FAST! (I don't think it needs any sweetener). - 5/6/08

This was really good! I cooked it for 1 1/2 minutes & I think it was just a little bit too long because it was almost too soft, so next time I'll shorten the cook time just a little. I also added a sprinkle of brown sugar based on other reviews, but overall this was a great & I'm glad I found it! - 1/2/12

Really good! A little too much cinnamon for my taste so I think next time i'll cut it down to 1 tsp. Otherwise, delish!! - 11/29/11
