Beefy Onion Hamburger Steak with Gravy

Ingredients
Hamburger Steak Ingredients:11/2 lbs. extra lean ground beef (97% fat free) 1 cup Onions, diced 1 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce 1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated 1 large Egg, lightly beaten1 cup bread crumbs, dry, grated1 tsp ground black pepper 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp garlic powder Gravy Ingredients: 1 envelope (4 Tbsp) beefy onion soup & dip mix, dry 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 1 cup onion, thinly sliced1-4 oz can of mushrooms, drained2 tbsp red cooking wine 4 cup water
Directions
Steak Directions:
1. In a large bowl, mix bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, diced onion and ˝ tsp salt thoroughly.
2. Add ground beef, egg, and Worcestershire sauce to the bowl and mix thoroughly.
3. Shape the mixture into 6-4 ounce patties. Spray skillet with non-stick spray and fry the patties over medium heat until nicely browned, about 4 minutes per side. Remove patties to a plate and keep warm.

Gravy Directions:
1. Heat 1 Tablespoon of olive oil in the skillet used for frying the steaks. Add the onions and sauté until tender. Add the beefy onion recipe soup.
2. Mix in 4 cups of water and the sherry.
3. Add mushrooms. Simmer and stir over med-low heat until gravy thickens, then turn heat to low and add patties to gravy. Cover and simmer another 15 minutes.


Serving Size: 6-4 ounce patties with 1 cup of gravy
