5 c. fresh or frozen berries (or peaches)2 c. flour3 c. sugar, divided1 c. milk1/2 c. butter, soft unsalted2 tsp. baking powder1 tsp. salt, divided2 tbsp. cornstarch1 1/2 c. boiling water
Spread berries in a greased 9 x13 baking dish and set aside.
Mix flour, 1 1/2 cup sugar, milk, butter, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Spread mixture over berries.
Mix boiling water cornstarch, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 1/2 cup sugar. Pour over cobbler.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Divide into 12 servings
