Apple-Sausage Stuffing Recipe

1 1tsp Olive Oil 2 links Jennie-o Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage -1 link casing removed1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw diced2 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Celery, raw diced1 serving Granny smith apple - 1 med. apple diced8 tbsp Trader Joe's Dried Fruit Dried Cranberries (4 Tbsp or 1/4 Cup) 2 clove Garlic minced1 tsp Sage, ground or 10-12 fresh leaves1.5 cup chicken stock, low sodium1 serving Egg white, large 2 tbsp Butter, saltedSalt & pepper to taste10 serving Canyon bakehouse gluten free ancient grain bread (1 slice) cubed (if fresh, bake 350 oven for 10 min)
Prepare baked, cubed bread.
Heat olive oil in large skillet over med heat
Add sausage, onion, celery, apple, cranberries, & garlic & saute 10 min, until the veggies are soft and sausage is cooked through.
Combine the bread, sausage-vegetable mixture, sage, stock, & egg in large mixing bowl.
Toss to evenly coat the stuffing with the liquid, Season with a few pinches of salt & black pepper.
Place in a 13"x9" casserole dish & dot with butter.
Bake, uncovered, for about 40 min until the top of the stuffing is nicely browned & crunchy.
