Directions
I thought up this receipe in trying to get more veggies into my spouse and his kids!! Now they beg me to 'make your sauce, please!!' and their friends love to come over when we do.

Shred all the veggies and with the olive oil, place in a good size pan to sweat them down under a medium heat. When the water from the veggies is in the pan, add the large canned tomoatoes - I use De Fratelli due to the flavor, freshness and not a lot of salt. One crushed with basil and garlic and the other is chopped tomatoes. Stir together. Let simmer and 10 minutes later add basil, a dash of italian seasoning and the basalmic vinegar - stir in, cover and cook. If it seems runny, keep the lid cracked to let some of it simmer off. 10 minutes later, sprinkle in your amount of cayaenne pepper - up to you how much kick you want. Then stir in, cover and cook another 10 or so. Then add in the sugar, stir, cover cook 10 minutes and then add in the crumbles, stir in, cover and start your pasta on the side, when it's done - the sauce should be ready. YUMMY!! Enjoy!!
