32 ounces Chicken Breast , cut into bite size pieces 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2 clove Garlic 1 tsp Ginger Root 0.75 tsp Red pepper flakes 0.25 cup Apple juice, unsweetened 0.35 cup, packed Brown Sugar 2 tbsp Ketchup, Heinz 1 tbsp Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar 0.5 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap 0.35 cup Soy Sauce
Editor's Note: Named Bourbon Chicken because it was supposedly created by a Chinese cook who worked in a restaurant on Bourbon Street.
Heat oil in a large skillet.
Add chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned.
Remove chicken.
Add remaining ingredients, heating over medium Heat until well mixed and dissolved.
Add chicken and bring to a hard boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Serve over hot rice and ENJOY.
