Pinto Beans and Ground Turkey

16 oz Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean 13 serving beans - pinto beans - dry - 25 serv / bag (by WILDKAT781) 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil .5 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw 1 tsp Seasoning, Cumin = 1 tsp (by 16HEATHER) (or to taste)1 tsp Sea Salt (by JOCELYNALPAUGH) (or to taste)1 dash Pepper, black (or to taste)
NOTE: Beans need to be soaked and cleaned overnight in 3 cups of water
1. Chop half an onion
2. In skillet add 1tblspn oil and 1/2 of chopped onions along with salt and pepper to taste
3. Cook mixture of onion, oil, and seasonings until onion is tender
4. Add ground turkey and cook until done
6. In croak pot add 6 cups of hot water
7. Add other 1/2 of chopped onion, 1 tblspn oil, cumin, (salt and pepper to paste)
8. Add cleaned and soaked Pinto beans
9. Add cooked ground Turkey
10. Set croak pot for 6 hours
Serving Size: Makes 6.5 1 cup servings
