Rice and Peas Side Dish

Ingredients
1 cup cooked white rice1 cup frozen peas1 small can mushrooms, including liquid3 tbs. butter.5 tsp. garlic salt.25 tsp. black pepper
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan to heat on stovetop at medium setting. Stir gently until well-blended and creamy, to avoid crushing the peas.

Alternate method: Combine all ingredients into a covered glass casserole. Heat in microwave for up to 10 minutes (depending on strength of oven), stirring 3 times while cooking.

    You're right! It's great with any of these options. We've also added shredded leftover chicken or tuna to the mixture for a simple casserole.
