Beer Cheese Soup

Ingredients
* *Kraft Finely Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese, 2 cup (remove) * Vegetable Broth, 4 cup (remove) * Regular Beer, 12 fl oz (remove) * Fat free half and half, 2 cup (remove) * Cornstarch, .1875 cup (remove) * Garlic, 1 clove (remove) * Water, tap, .1875 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
Directions
1. In a large pot over medium heat, cook garlic until fragnant. Pour in beer and bring to a boil. Pour in vegetable broth and return to a boil. Then reduce heat and heat through.
3. In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and 3 tablespoons water, stirring to dissolve. Set aside. Stir half-and-half and cheddar into the soup until the cheese melts. Stir in cornstarch mixture and continue to cook and stir until soup thickens. Serve at once.

    This recipe had excellent good flavor. I left it on low on the stove to keep it warm while we were eating and the soup separated and became lumpy. It may have gotten too hot. The lumpy soup still tasted good, it just looked unappetizing.
