South Indian Sauteed Cabbage

Ingredients
Black Mustard seeds (1 tsp)1/2 tsp cumin seedsUrad dal (2 tbsp)Asafoetida 1/4 tspThe above ingredients can be purchased in an Indian grcoery store.1 small head of cabbage1-2 jalapeno peppers2 tbsp chopped cilantro2 tbsp canola oil2 tsp salt
Directions
Wash and shred cabbage and keep aside. In a non-stik pan heat the oil and put in the mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When they stop spluttering add the urad dal, chopped jalapeno, and asafoetida. Wait for a few sec until the urad dal starts to change color then add the shredded cabbage. Stir, Cover and cook for 5-10 min until cabbage is partially wilted. (I like my cabbage crunchy). Add salt to taste.
