Rose's Homemade Rolls

Ingredients
6.0 cup Flour, white1.0 tsp Granulated Sugar2.0 tsp Yeast1.0 cup Butter, salted1.0 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw2.0 tsp Salt2.0 cup (8 fl oz) hot Water, tap
Directions
Combine 2 1/4 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Add 1/2 cup butter and mix at low speed, gradually adding hot water. Add egg and beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Add 3/4 cups flour and beat 2 more minutes. Stir in remaining flour (3cups) to make a soft dough. Knead 10 minutes. Cover and let rise for at least 15 minutes. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness and cut circles. Melt remaining 1/2 cup of butter in 17 1/2 by 11 1/2 pan. Dip rolls in butter on both sides and fold in half. Arrange in pan with rolls touching. Cover and let rise. Bake at 375° for 18 to 20 minutes.
