Pilau rice

Ingredients
300g basmati rice 10g butter85g onions, sliced1 Cinnamon stick1 tsp Turmeric2 Cloves1 tsp Salt 1 Bay Leaf
Directions
Heat butter gently, add onion, turmeric, cinnamon, cloves and bay leaf.
Cover. Cook gently to soften onion.
Stir in rice to coat.
Add 600 ml boiling water.
Bring to boil.
Lower heat.
Cover and simmer on lowest heat for 8 minutes.
Remove from heat, keep lid on.
Steam for 5 minutes.
