Into 3 cups of hot cooked rice add the following, cover and let stand for 5 minutes to heat through.The calories on the Nutritional Panel are for 3 cups of Brown RIce only. The additional cals etc are listed next to each variety.
BLT
Add 3 Tblspn bottled bacon bits, 1/2 cup diced tomato and 1 cup finely chopped lettuce.

LEMON PEPPER
Add 3 tsp grated lemon peel, 3 Tblspn lemon juice, 2 tsp chopped dill or parsley and a grind or two of black pepper.

Add 2 Tblspn canned jalapenos, 1/2 cup corn kernals, 1/2 cup sliced scallions (green onions) and 2 Tblspn fat free sour cream

Rice is carb heavy - why is it in this category - 1/3/10

If you'd care to read above it is for brown rice which is a good carb with fibre etc. Removing all complex carbs from your diet is NOT healthy!!!
