Disney Boma Butternut Squash Soup

Disney Recipe:2 pounds (large) butternut squash4 tb sugar1 Tbl ginger ; (ground)1 Tbl nutmeg ; (ground)1 Tbl cinnamon ; (ground)1 Tbl coriander ; (ground)salt and pepper ; (to taste)16 oz Water16 oz heavy cream16 oz milk1 cube butterOptional, to add a little heat and depth of savory flavor (beyond disney):1 large red bell pepper, cut off stem, and coarsely chop1 large onion, coarsely chopped1-2 fresh jalapeno, cut off stem, no need to seed1 cup peanut butter1 Tbl turmeric4 Tbl garlic powder
Slice stem off of squash, wash and put into crock pot, cook on high for 4 hours, dump squash into vitamix or high speed blender, skin, seeds and all. Add remaining ingredients and blend until completely smooth. Pour back into the crockpot and simmer on low for 2-4 hours.
