Stew Meat and Dumplings

Ingredients
Beef, tenderloin, 1.5 lb *Flour, white, 1 cup *Whole Milk / Vitamin D, 0.25 cup Egg, fresh, 1 medium Salt, 1 tsp Pepper, black, 1 tsp Garlic, 1 clove Onions, raw, 4 slice, medium (1/8" thick)Cornstarch, 0.25 cup *Soup, beef broth, bouillon, consomme, prepared with equal volume water, commercial, 2 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap, 2 cup (8 fl oz) Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
Directions
Cut meat into strips. Brown meat with garlic and onions in olive oil. Once browned add water, beef broth, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for approximately 20 min.

In separate bowl combine egg, milk, flour and a little salt. Add flour or milk as needed to make a dough that can be rolled out. Roll out dough and cut into little strip dumplings. Drop into boiling broth. Cook in broth for 10 minutes covered and 10 minutes uncovered.

To thicken broth use cornstarch and 1 cup water. Mix thoroughly and slowly stir into simmering liquid.
