French Onion Soup (Crockpot)

2 cup, chopped Onions, raw 1/4 cup butter3 clove Garlic 1 tbsp brown sugar4 cup Beef Broth - Swanson Low Sodium 1 tbsp Thyme, ground 1 dash Salt 1 dash Pepper, black 5 oz french baguette 4 slice (1 oz) Provolone Cheese
1. Heat butter over medium in a pot until melted.
2. Add onions and garlic and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook 45min, stirring occasionally.
3. Place broth, spices, and onions in slow cooker and cook on low 6 hours. (Could also simmer on the stove 3-4hrs)
4. Preheat broiler when ready to eat
5. Laddle soup into 4 crocks or bowls. Top with slices of toasted baguette and a slice of cheese.
6. Broil 3-4min until cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
