7 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour 2.5 ounce Yeast, bakers .25 cup Granulated Sugar 2 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw 1 tsp Salt 1 tbsp Olive Oil 2.5 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
In 4c measuring cup add 2.5 c hot water, 1/4 c sugar, 2 Tbsp yeast, stir well set aside to activate. Once you see the yeast starting to foam it is activating. If you don't see this, then the yeast is bad.
In separate bowl add 6.5 c flour, 1 tsp salt. Stir well
Make a well in the flour add 2 room temp eggs , oil and the activated yeast mixture.
Mix well with a fork. Mixture will be sticky.
Pour out onto lightly floured surface, kneed until dough is smooth but still a little sticky. Place back in bowl cover, let rise about 1 hour.
Once dough is doubled pour out into lightly floured surface, kneed a few times, cut in 1/2, shape into loaves, place in loaf pans, cover let rise 20 mins.
Bake 350 20 to 30 minutes. If using a glass pan bake at 325 for 30 to 40 minutes.
Serving Size: 2 Loaves 16 slices per loaf
