beef with pea pods

1 lbs beef boneless sirloin steak1 clove garlic1 Tbs vegetable oil1/4 tsp saltdash pepper2/3 beef broth1 Tbs flour2 Tbs water1 Tbs soy sauce1/4 tsp ground ginger6 oz frozen snow peas1 c long grain rice2 cups water
1. Cut and Discard most of the fat from the beef. Cut the beef with the grain into 2-inch strips, then cut the strips across the grain into 1/4 inch clices. Peel and finely chop the garlic.
2. Prepare Hot Cooked Rice. While the rice is cooking, continue the recipe.
3. Heat the skillet over high heat 1 to 2 minutes. Add the oil to the hot skillet. Add the beef and garlic to skillet. Stir fry with a turner or large spoon about 3 minutes, lifting and stiring constantly, until beef is brown.
4. Sprinkle salt and pepper over beef, and stir in broth. Heat to boiling over high heat.
5. mix the flour water and soy sauce, and stir into the beef mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and boils. Continue boiling for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Sauce will be thin
6. Stir in the ginger and pea pods. Cook unconvered about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pea pods are crisp and tender. Serve over rice.
Hot Rice:
Heat the rice and water to boiling in the suacepan over high heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Once mixture is boiling, reduce heat just enough so mixture bubbles gently. Cover and cook 15 minutes or until rice is fluffly and tender.
