Basic, Cheap Split Pea Soup

1 cup dry Split Peas3+ cups water1 cup sliced baby bella mushrooms1/2 cup diced onion2 tsp Pepper* 2 tsp Garlic Powder*1 tsp Onion Salt*1 tsp Cumin*1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper*3 tsp Veg Broth powder* [or substitute 1 cup water w/1 cup broth]*Not included in Nutrtional Values
Boil/simmer peas & onion in 3 cups water for 1hr.
Add spices & mushrooms and boil/simmer for up to 1hr, or until peas are soft.
Puree 1/2 the soup in blender/magic bullet if desired.
Makes 4 (3/4 cup) servings.
