Fish in a Bengali sauce

2 fillets of cod or pollock (frozen)1 serrano pepper, sliced down the middle4 tsp grated ginger root1 large onion, chopped1 tbsp vegetable oil1 tsp cumin seed1 tsp coriander seed1 tsp ground tumeric
Makes 4 servings
Toss frozen fish with tumeric, set aside.
Heat oil in pan and sautee the onion until browned.
Add ginger, cumin and coriander and saute for a few minutes. Place frozen fish on top of onion mixture in the pan and top with the serrano pepper. Cover with a lid until fish is steamed cooked through (add more water to the pan if necessary).
Serve with basmait or brown rice.
