Ingredients
Ingredients:3 lbs of lean ground chuckCanned Crushed Tomatoes, 3 large cansChili powder, small bottleCelery, raw, 1 cup, diced Mushrooms, fresh, 2 cup, pieces or slices Onions, raw, 1 medium, chopped Splenda, 1 tsp Salt, to taste1 Green Bell Peppers, chopped Ground Red Pepper to taste
Directions
Brown the meat in a large skillet (or pot) on medium high heat, drain and rinse. Return meat to large skillet and add chopped onions, celery and green peppers. Reduce heat to Medium setting and continue cooking until onions are transparent. Transfer meat mixture to large pot. Add crushed tomatoes, mushrooms, spices and Splenda. Stir well to blend all ingredients. Cook on medium heat (stir occasionally) until steam starts to rise. Turn on low and let simmer for 2-3 hours. I add a little water as it thickens until it's the thickness we like .... that's just a matter of preference .... some like it thick and some don't :-)
