Tom's Vegan Reduced-Fat Double Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients
10 oz. Applesauce, unsweetened8 0z. Cocoa Powder, unmelted, or vegan Baking chocolate, melted1/4 tsp. salt2 cups sugar1 Banana1 1/3 cup Whole wheat flour2 cups vegan semi sweet chocolate
Directions
Beat the above with a fork until smooth. Pour into a square 8"x8" pan for traditional square brownies. I improvised with an 8" pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 35 minutes.

    These turned out so yummy. They were very thick. I made a few changes though. I used only 1 cup of sugar and 3/4 cup honey (which I know some people don't consider vegan). I added 1 tsp of baking soda to make it rise a little better I also cooked it for about 45 minutes. - 1/25/09
