Lasagna with Ground Sirloin

Ingredients
16.1 oz ground sirloin1.5 small onion1 tsp basil1 tsp italian seasoning mccormick1/2 tsp salt1.5 garlic cloves1/4 tsp sugar5.25 C Diced tomatoes, Hunts, basil, garlic & oregano1- 6 oz can Hunts tomato paste1/2 C water10 Wheat Lasagna noodles1 egg1T dried parsley flakes2 T Parmesan cheese2 C cottage cheese fat free1/2 C Shredded Mozzarella cheese
Directions
Brown beef and nonion. Drain well. Stir in seasonings, tomatoes, tomato paste, and water. Mixture may be used immediately, but for richer flavor, simmer uncovered for 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Mix egg, parsley flakes, parmesan cheese, and cottage cheese.
In a 9X13 inch baking dish layer 1 cup of sauce, 4 dry noodles (break to fit) and half of the cottage cheese-egg mixture, spreading it evenly over the noodles. Repeat the sauce, noodles, and cottage cheese mixture. Top with remaining sauce. Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes, or until noodles are tender. Let stand 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and serve. Makes 12 servings
