2.5 cups flour1 tsp baking powder1 tsp baking soda2 tsp ground cinnamon1/2 tsp nutmeg1/2 tsp cloves1/2 tsp salt1/2 cup butter1.5 cups white sugar1 cup canned pumpkin 1 egg1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat oven.
Combine dry ingredients and set aside.
Cream butter and sugar, add pumpkin, egg and vanilla and beat until creamy. Mix in dry ingredients. Drop on cookie sheet by teaspoonfuls, flatten slightly. Bake 15 to 20 minutes.

Delicious cookies. But i did tweak the recipe a little - added just 2 c flour. I did not have the other condiments so just added cardamom- the smell and taste was delicious-believe do try it. Also added pumpkin seeds- but I'll skip it next time. But was quite dense & heavy & took too long to bake! - 12/16/08
