Bread:1 1/2 T yeast1 1/2 T sugar3/4 T salt1 1/2 c warm water3 T oil4 1/2 c flourFilling:1 lb hamburger1 small head cabbage, chopped1 t salt3/4 t pepper1/4 t mustard1 t brown sugarSweet & Sour Sauce:1 T cornstarch1/4 c sugar1/4 c vinegar1/2 c orange juice1/4 c maraschino cherry juice4 maraschino cherries, chopped
Combine bread ingredients into a dough; knead and let rise one hour. Brown beef, add rest of filling ingredients and cook till cabbage is wilted. Divide dough in 16 balls; roll in circles, fill with filling, pinch edges together, place on greased cookie sheets, let rise one hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Combine all sauce ingredients and simmer or microwave, stirring occasionally, until thick and clear.
