Green Chili Tortilla Soup

Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef1/2 cup chopped onion1 clove garlic1 tsp ground cumin1 tsp chili powder1 (4.5 oz) can diced green chilies2 cups low sodium veg broth2 (10 oz) cans diced tomatoes and green chilies1 (11.5 oz) can mexicorn, drained1 (16 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsedshredded cheddar cheese and tortilla chips (optional)
Directions
In a large saucepan or dutch oven with a tight fitting lid, cook beef, onion and garlic until browned, drain. Add cumin, chili powder, chilies, broth and tomatoes, bring to a boil, reduce heat and cover and simmer for 10 min. Stir in corn and black beans and cook for 5 min. Top with shredded cheese and crumbled tortilla chips.
