Vegetable beef barley soup

1/2 lb. lean ground beef1/2 cup chopped onion1 clove garlic, minced7 cups watewr1 - 14 oz. can no-salt added tomatoes, undrained, chopped1/2 cup Quaker Barley1/2 cup sliced celery1/2 cup sliced carrots2 beef bouillon cubes1/2 tsp. basil1 bay leaf1 9 ounce pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
Brown ground beef. Add onion and garlic. Cook until onion is tender, drain. Add remaining ingreadients except frozen vegetables. Cover, bring to boil. Reduce heat, simmer for 50 min., stirring occasionally. Add frozen veges; cook 10 min. until veges are tender. You can add water if it is too thick.
