Homemade Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened4 cups powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla extract1/4 cup non fat milk (add a little more if too stiff)
Directions
In a mixing bowl, cream butter. Beat in sugar and vanilla. Add milk until frosting reaches desired consistency.

This is a simple recipe with enough frosting to cover 24 cupcakes (with some left over depending on how much you use). You could probably cover 28 cupcakes--no problem)

    VERY yummy recipe! I made pretty springtime flowers in the buttercream. My only complaint is that I should've halved the recipe, as I only had 12 cupcakes to decorate. I'll learn for next time though! - 3/23/11
