Mashed Potatoes and Turnips

1 lb. small turnips, peeled and diced.1 lb potatoes, peeled and diced.1/4 cup fat free sour cream14 cup finely grated parmesan cheese1/2 tsp salt1/2 tsp pepper1/2 small onion, peeled2 cloves garlic
Put cloves of garlic stuffed into onions. Add to large pot. Add diced turnips and potatoes. Cover with water. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 25 minutes. Drain and remove onion and garlic. Mash potatoes and turnips. Add the remaining ingredients and continue to mash. Serve immediately or reheat in a 350 oven.
