Ingredients
1 small banana IN THE PEEL10 mini marshmallows1tbs mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
Leave the banana IN the peel. Slice it carefully lengthwise without cutting though the bottom side of the peel. Pull the halves of the banana about 1/4-1/2 inch apart, leaving it IN the peel. Fill opening with marshmallows and chocolate chips. Place on a microwave safe plate and cook for 20 sec at a time until the chips and marshmallows are slightly melted. The peel will turn dark - that's OK! Grab a spoon and eat it right out of the peel.
Modifications:
1 - If you're camping, wrap stuffed banana in foil and place on hot coals for about 5-10 minutes.
2 - Increase/decrease chocolate chips and marshmallows to meet your nutritional requirements.

I make this but bake for much longer so the fruit itself cooks thru. Try it using butterscotch chips instead of chocolate or add a drop of peppermint to the chocolate for variety. I serve this to guests on a cold night. Yum! - 3/31/09

I have enjoyed this recipe. I did try it with a little bit of graham cracker crushed and sprinkled on top after cooking - 9/1/12

Girl Scouts have being doing these for YEARS! Although most of the time we left the peel off and roasted them in the coals. Still very yummy no matter how you do it! - 6/24/12

DELISH! AND LOWER IN CALORIES THAN SOME OTHER ONES I'VE SEEN ON THIS SITE! THERE'S REALLY NO NEED TO PUT MORE CHIPS OR MALLOWS THAN WHAT YOU CALLED FOR... - 1/6/09
