Lentil and Spinach Soup

Ingredients
2 cups lentils ( i like it wish green better than red)8 cups water1 carrot, chopped3 stalks celery1 yellow onion1 potato, peeled and chopped1 can (14oz) ready-cut tomatoes1/2 tsp. dried sage2 cloves garlic, minced1 tsp. salt1/2 lb. spinach, washing and cut into 1/2 inch strips
Directions
Combine all ingredients, except spinach, in a large stockpot. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat. Simmer until lentils are tender, about 45 minutes. Add spinach and simmer for another 5 minutes.
