This is yummy......I didn't have any Cayenne pepper on hand so I used a Tbsp or so of chili powder. As for the comment about slimy meat......perhaps you used a really fatty cut of pork? I bought a pork shoulder and trimmed almost all the visible fat.....not slimy at all! I will make this again! - 9/21/10

WOW!!! This dish is amazing!! Even my 7 yr old loves it! Try pan frying it adding juices, NOT oil, for a crispier meat! Really good on salad with plain and very little taco sauce! Thanks for sharing this recipe! Def a keeper! - 2/4/11

I made this last night for a surprise birthday party for my husband. 18 people LOVED it!! I could've made a double recipe. Had many requests for the recipe. This is definitely a keeper. Thanks for such a great and easy dish! - 7/5/10

Delicious! I used the amount of cayenne in the recipe and it made it a little spicy. I LOVE spicy food, but if others don't I would reccommend a little less cayenne. I wrapped it in tortillas for dinner with some black beans. First time cooking pork for me and it was a success! - 10/11/09

Very good. Even the husband really liked it. Only thing I did different is I doubled it. Plan to freeze the rest for a later date. - 8/23/09

This was so good! I've given the recipe to my friends. I love using it to make pork tacos with avocado and salsa. And with the leftovers, I add some BBQ sauce to make BBQ pulled pork. Yum! - 2/22/09

Awesome! I misread it (TBSP instead of TSP) and was substituting extra taco seasoning for the cayenne so I ended up using almost an entire package of taco seasoning! It was great! I served it on onion hamburger buns with out adding any additional sauce. YUMMY!! - 9/29/13

The best pulled pork ever!!! We could not believe how good this actually was. After the pork was cooked I served it on a butter lettuce leaf and made a little peach mango slaw to go on top I just mixed peach mango salsa with a little fruit cup of mangos and tossed it with coleslaw mix with feta. Yum - 7/30/13

This tasted great alone or tossed with BBQ sauce. I used a good cut of pork loin, but it was a little drier than I'd hoped. I might try 6 hours in the slow cooker for next time. - 3/6/13

The whole family loved it. I improvised the taco seasoning, since I didn't have any, and added a little bit of cilantro and some lime-garlic salsa. Delicious! - 10/20/12

The enchiladas I made with this were great, but alone the pork was a little bland. - 8/16/12

My entire family loved this. I did cut back on the cayenne pepper for my daughter though. Made burritos and it was a big hit. I was also able to freeze about half of this for a quick meal at a later date. - 5/9/12

Very easy, very good, makes lots. Many different uses. We're eating it with cilantro lime rice and beans and salsa like a Chipotle burrito bowl but healthier. - 4/29/12
