Homemade Beef and Noodles

Ingredients
12 oz egg noodles1 lb beef, cubed and fat removed1/4 C Tones Beef base (or canned broth)If using canned broth, do not use the water below.4 qt tap water2 TB canola oil
Directions
Use a heavy soup pot or dutch oven for the soup.
cube any less expensive cut of beef and remove visible fat and bone.
saute beef in small amount of oil.
Once meat is browned add 2 quarts of water and allow meat to simmer until tender approx 2 hours.
Check the soup pot as mine boils over if I cover too tightly.
add water until there is 3 quarters in the pot.
add the beef base and stir.
add noodles and cook per pkg instructions. The noodles I used were fine and took only 12 minutes more.
Season with pepper if needed.
