Slow Cooker Venison Pot Roast w/ Veggies

4 lb. deer roast3 potatoes, quartered35 baby carrots3 green onions, chopped3 celery stalks, chopped½ t. garlic powder½ t. salt½ t. pepperenough water to cover vegetables
Place roast in bottom of crockpot. Put vegetables on top of roast. Add seasonings & water. Cover & cook on High for 4-5 hrs or on Low for 10-12 hrs. Remove roast from crockpot and slice it. Serves approximately 8.
Serving = 1 slices of meat and 3/4 cup of veggies.

NAVVAN
I made this last night, but didn't have a roast so I used two venison tenderloins from my fiance's kill last week. It was yummy- the meat was tender and there was no gamey taste. However, we both found the meat and veggies kind of dry. Next time I'll use beef broth instead of water so we have gravy. - 11/21/10
