Orange Peel Candy

Ingredients
peel from 3 large oranges2 cups sugar, separated2 cups water
Directions
Cut orange peel in strips about 1/4inch wide. Put in saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Drain water and repeat 2 more times. Drain and scrap white membrane from peel.

In pan put in 1 cup of sugar and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil. Turn to medium heat and add orange peels. Boil for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain and toss in 1 cup of sugar. Lay on wax paper to dry. Store in airtight container.
