Ingredients
Beef chuck, 3 lbGarlic, 3 tbsp or to tasteKetchup, Heinz, 3 tbsp or to tasteBeef bouillon, 1 cube or 3 tspPepper, black, 1 tspLite Soy Sauce, 3 tbsp or to tasteFlour, 3 tbsp (for thickening)* You can pretty much add what ever you want to this recipe. I also use a Jamaican Jerk seasoning and Tastefully Simple's Seasoned Salt. I have added cooking wine as well. Do NOT cover the roast in liquid. It makes a ton on it's own!
Directions
Buy the cheapest chuck roast you can find (don't spend the $$ on the Angus meat) ... around $6 - $10 for the entire roast.

Place chuck roast in large crock pot.

Add all other ingredients except for flour.

Cook on low all day (about 7 hours) or on high for 4. Chuck roast should start falling apart. If it doesn't, cook it longer ... it eventually will. I have also done a combo of cooking on high then cooking on low.

Take meat out and shred, removing all fat.

Add flour and cook for another 15 minutes in crock pot to thicken. You can add water to make more gravy if you would like.

Serve by itself or on a roll (not included in calorie calculation).

This is perfect for a party. It can be cooked the night before and then reheated or cooked overnight. If you do that, break off the fat that accumulates and hardens before cooking.

Play around with the flavors ... it usually tastes different every time!

Serves 6 - 8 people.

I followed the recipe exactly, and had to scrape some of the garlic off; I love garlic, but it was overpowering to DH and me as it was cooking. However, the finished product was the BEST crock pot churck roast I have ever prepared. It is a keeper! - 9/3/12

Very tasty and easy. Be sure and give it sufficient time so it is tender and falls apart. It will be a keeper for our family. - 1/10/10
