French Onion Soup

1 tablespoon butter1 medium onion, sliced1 can beef broth2 ounces red wine1/4 cup plain croutons2 slice Kraft 2% Swiss cheese
Melt the butter in a medium sauce pan over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and saute until translucent. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a gentle simmer. Add the wine and simmer for 5 minutes.
Ladle the soup into 2 oven-proof bowls that are sitting on a sturdy cookie sheet. Split the croutons between the bowls and lay a slice of Swiss cheese on each.
Put the broiler on high and the cookie sheet with bowls in the oven. Watch closely and remove the soup when the cheese is bubbly and just starting to brown.
