Ham & Noodle Soup

Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs cubed ham1 1/2 lbs frozen peas1 lb small shell pasta2 medium onions, chopped3 stalks celery, chopped15 medium baby carrots, chopped4 cloves garlic, chopped1/2 tsp black pepper1 tbs fresh sage, chopped1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped3.5 cups chicken broth10 cups water
Directions
In a soup pot add the chopped veggies and broth.
Bring to a boil.
Add the cubed ham and the uncooked pasta.
Mix well.
Add 10 cups of water and bring back to the boil.
Boil about 15 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
Add the herbs, pepper and frozen peas.
Bring back to the boil.
Continue cooking until the peas are warmed through.

Makes 8 huge servings. (About 3 cups each)

    Was a little peppery, but I had made some adjustments due to availability of items, so I may not have reduced the pepper enough. - 1/26/10
