Ingredients
3/4 cup agave nectar1 cup applesauce2 egg whites1 tsp vanilla extract2 cups whole wheat flour1 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp ground cloves1/2 tsp cinnamon2 cups oats3 ripe bananas, mashed1 cup dark chocolate chips
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large bowl, mix agave, applesauce, egg whites, and vanilla.
3. Stir in flour, baking soda, and spices.
4. Add mashed banana, oats, and chocolate chips.
5. Drop dough onto cookie sheet (covered in parchment paper). Bake 8-10 minutes.

Makes 48 cookies.

Notes: These cookies don't spread out, so much as puff up vertically. Don't let that fool you into thinking they're not cooked though -- if you leave them in the oven too long they won't taste as good (too chewy). Better to take them out too early than too late.

Also, if you're subbing honey or sugar for the agave, you'll need to use 1 cup. In fact, if you have a strong sweet tooth, you may want to use 1 cup of agave anyway (which would add about 5 calories, or a little over one carb, to each cookie).
