Pumpkin Apple Butter

1 29oz Can Pumpkin8-10 small apples, peeled, cored, and cut up2 c water1/3 c maple syrup1 tsp cinnamon1/2 tsp nutmeg1/4 tsp ground cloves
Combine all ingredients in a pot and simmer for 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally. Once it looks fairly thick and does not have water pooling, put into small containers to freeze. Will keep in the refrigerator for about a month.
This recipe will come out kind of chunky. If you want it completely smooth, blend it prior to cooking.
